src, sck, xcod, s1: which parameter each checkout reads and where it shows

Published by the UTM Builder team at Limner.

Each checkout stores a different set of parameters and shows the source in a different place. A link that works on Kiwify can lose half its information on Eduzz or Monetizze. The table below sums up what each platform’s official documentation lists today. Test with a purchase before you rely on it.

The table

These platforms’ dashboards are in Portuguese, so the menu and report names below are translations.

PlatformWhat the docs listWhere it shows up
HotmartIn the purchase webhook, the source comes in purchase.origin with src, sck and xcod. There’s no UTM field in that list.Purchase webhook. The rules for UTMs on the link are in the Hotmart and Kiwify guide.
Kiwifysrc, sck, utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content, s1, s2, s3Sales > Filters > URL parameters; the order’s Customer tab; the tracking object in the sales API
Eduzz (Checkout Sun)utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content and a (affiliate)Sales API: the utm object and the tracker, tracker2, tracker3 fields
Monetizzesrc, utm_source, utm_campaing, utm_media, utm_content (spelled as in the help center)Reports > Sales Source
TictoUTM, src and sckTracking tab in the sale details; Reports > Smart Source Report
YampiThe 5 UTMs and metadata[field]=valueIn the orders dashboard, only Source (utm_source) and Campaign (utm_campaign); the others in the spreadsheet export, the API and the webhook

Where the documentation itself is confusing

Passing parameters from the sales page automatically

When the ad leads to your sales page, the parameters stay in that page’s URL and the buy button opens a clean checkout. Ticto and Eduzz document the same fix: a script at the end of the page that reads the parameters from the current URL and appends them to the links pointing to the checkout, with ? if the link has no parameters and & if it already has some.

How to test

  1. Open the sales page with ?utm_source=teste&utm_campaign=teste.
  2. Hover over the buy button and check in the browser’s status bar whether the checkout link already carries the parameters. This is the test Ticto describes.
  3. Make a test purchase and look for the value where the table says: tab, report, API or webhook.
