Pix QR code generator
For Pix (Brazil’s instant payment system): a static QR code and the copy-and-paste code (Pix Copia e Cola) for your key, to the Central Bank of Brazil standard. Everything happens in your browser: nothing you type is sent anywhere.
Static QR code: it never expires. The code holds the key and, if you set one, the amount. It never goes through any of our servers and works as long as the key exists at your bank.
Format from the Central Bank of Brazil’s Pix Initiation Standards Manual (PDF in Portuguese, version 2.10.0, section 2.6), with the CRC16 checksum the manual specifies.
How a static Pix QR code works
A static QR code carries your Pix key, name and city, and can include a fixed amount. It works for menus, counters, packaging and recurring charges of the same amount. It doesn’t expire and can be paid many times.
Without an amount, the payer types how much to pay. With an amount, the app opens with it filled in. The identifier shows up in your statement and helps you tell apart payments from different campaigns or stores.
A Pix QR code and a campaign QR code are different things
A Pix QR code opens the bank app, not a page, so it doesn’t carry UTMs and doesn’t show up in GA4. To measure where people from a printed piece come from, use a QR code for your page with UTMs in the QR code generator and read the guide on why GA4 doesn’t count the scan.
