QR code generator

Paste the final URL, ideally with UTM already in it.
Your logo in the center and your brand color, with high error correction so it still scans. Set up your brand in My account.
How much of the symbol can be recovered if it’s dirty or folded. More correction survives more damage, but makes the code denser.

The spec calls for a 4-module quiet zone around the code.

For print, use the largest size. SVG has no fixed size and scales without losing sharpness.

Static QR code: it never expires. The link is encoded in the pattern itself, and the camera opens the exact address you pasted, without going through any of our servers. It keeps working with or without a plan, as long as your page is live.

To start a chat, use the WhatsApp QR code. To get paid, use the Pix QR code generator (Pix is Brazil’s instant payment system; page in Portuguese).

Print size

How far away people will point their phone. Table or menu: 0.3. Poster on a wall: 2.

Rule of thumb from QR suppliers’ print guides: the side of the code equals the distance divided by 10, never below 2 cm. It’s not a technical standard. The 4-module margin, on the other hand, comes from the spec (DENSO WAVE). Print a test at actual size before the full run.

Before you send it to the print shop. Test the final file, not the screen: print it at actual size and scan it with two different phones, one Android and one iPhone. For printed material you can’t redo, point the QR code to a redirect on your own domain, so you can change the destination later without reprinting.

Static QR code with UTM tracking

This generator creates a static QR code: the link is encoded in the pattern, with no redirect and no expiration date. To know how many visits your print material brought in, add UTM parameters to the link before generating it, and GA4 will report the flyer, the store window and the packaging as separate sources.

You get a PNG for screens and an SVG for print, with control over size, margin, color and error correction level. Everything is generated in your browser.

Frequently asked questions

Does the QR code expire?

No. The QR code is static: the link is encoded in the pattern itself and never goes through our servers. It works with or without a plan, even if it was printed years ago, as long as the landing page exists.

How do I track QR code scans in GA4?

Add UTM parameters to the link before you generate the QR code, for example utm_source=flyer and utm_medium=offline. Without UTM, the scan shows up as Direct. The medium offline lands in Unassigned in GA4’s Default channel group: create an Offline channel group to see it separately.

PNG or SVG?

SVG for print shops, because it’s a vector and stays sharp at any size. PNG for screens, social media and documents. Both come from the same code.

What is the minimum size for a printed QR code?

The rule of thumb from print suppliers: the side of the code equals the scanning distance divided by 10, never below 2 cm. A poster scanned from 1 meter needs a 10 cm QR code. Always test it printed, with two phones.

Can I add a logo to the QR code?

Yes, on the Max plan: your logo in the center and your brand color, with high error correction so the code still scans. Keep the contrast: a dark QR code on a light background scans best.
